I love trains, I especially love setting up my old Lionel train around the Christmas tree each year, though it takes a little time and effort. Setting up a simple oval track takes but a few hours, from sanding & cleaning the track, setting up the switches, the little village, to finally test running the train it takes time to do it right. It’s worth it though because my wife wishes she could shrink down and live in the little magical Christams village forever.

November 28th, 2012He’s Watching You!
I read a great Christmas book one year and just had to share it with everyone. It’s called Elf on the Shelf, and it’s a fantastic story that pretty much teaches kids it get in line and shape up cause Santa’s watchin ya! Well not Santa…because he can’t be everywhere at once, so he enlists elves to watch over the children and report back to him when they’re bad!
Pick up the book for your little one’s and share in the magic of Christmas!

A neat ornament that’s hanging on our Christmas tree this year! I just love the idea of Rudolph in a spacesuit flying through the universe delivering presents.

October 29th, 2012Itsy Bitsy Spider
Last Halloween I stumbled across a beaded spider in a local craft store window display. The thought of creating my own danced in my head like a skeleton being shakin in a coffin, so I rushed out and purchased some beads and wire to make my own. After a few failed attempts, I finally figured out how they were made and I’d say mine turned out pretty good, don’t you think?

October 28th, 2012Trick or Treat
There’s a local flower shop in the area that carries these special figurines created by Lori C. Mitchell. They fit right in with our Halloween decor and fill a place in my black heart with joy! Nothing makes me giggle uncontrollably like funny little ‘Corn Boy’ with his Halloween bucket.
Enjoy!

October 27th, 2012Halloween Tree
Every year my wife and I put up the Halloween tree in our house. There are a couple of new ornaments hanging this year purchased from Pier 1 Imports. My favorite this year was the ‘Punk Prisoner’ with the ball & chain attached. I wonder what I’ll get next year?

October 25th, 2012The Vampyre Hearse
This was the product that started my obsession with the ‘Monster Fighters’ toy line! The Vampyre Hearse is friggin’ amazing! From the mag wheels to the exposed bone-engine and the coffin catapult this was by far the coolest Lego toy ever made! It was a fairly easy build, just make sure you follow the directions because some pieces can be a royal pain in the ass to try and pull apart if you connect them by mistake. It comes with three figures and a mini bike that the leader of the ‘Monster Fighters’ can ride. The zombie chauffer was by far the coolest of them all from his dead-pan expression to his ripped clothes and tiny hat, this $40 purchase was well worth it!
